Lignano Area
Our area is called Lignano Sabbiadoro for a reason: its beaches are golden, warm and pleasant and this is where its name, “sabbiadoro”, comes from. This says a lot about the beauty of our area and surroundings. The beach overlooks the Adriatic Sea and is bordered by a shady pine forest. It extends for 8 km and the sea has been awarded the Blue Flag.
Besides, there are 5 amusement parks in Lignano Sabbiadoro, including Aquasplash, the first water playground in Italy.
There is also plenty of greenery between the pine forest and the city parks. The place is perfect for a family holiday because it offers everything you could wish for: a beautiful beach, green parks, a 5 km long pedestrian zone as well as many clubs and stores. There is also a marina in Lignano which can accommodate up to 5000 berths: it is one of the largest ports in Italy and also one of the most prestigious in Europe.
