A holiday in Lignano Sabbiadoro and Piani di Luzza is not all about sea and mountain, here you will also have a chance to discover a territory which stands out for its arts, traditions, culture and locals.
Join us to discover the wonders Friuli Venezia Giulia; come with us across itineraries rich in flavors and culture. A few kilometers away from Lignano Sabbiadoro lies Trieste, a wonderful town halfway between the Karst and the sea. A multi-ethnic city where a glorious past as “little Venice of the sea" and a present-day cosmopolitan nature meet. From the Audace dock to the old Lantern, a score of sails, ancient dealers’ shop windows, shops and majestic palaces unfold: in the distance, Miramare’s white silhouette can be noticed along with the romantic castle of Massimiliano and Carlotta d'Asburgo.

Amidst the sea and mountain lies the town of Udine which still preserves its Venetian charm that goes hand in hand with Friuli’s typical flavors. Udine is a small town plenty of charming Venetian-style squares and ancient palaces: from piazza Libertà (Liberty square), defined as "Venice’s most beautiful square on dry land" to piazza Matteotti (or delle Erbe), dotted with porticos which resembles an al fresco saloon embellished by ancient and colorful palaces reminding of Udine’s traditional spirit. On the town’s hills rises the castle overlooking the urban roofs, the surounding mountains and, southward, the Adriatic sea. During the 18th century, Udine was the place where Giambattista Tiepolo attained his artistic maturity:
